Iran’s president wants TV debate with Bush

“Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad challenged U.S. President George W. Bush to a televised debate on world issues Tuesday as he signalled that Iran will ignore a UN Security Council deadline to halt uranium enrichment.”

I find it interesting that the request is coming from Ahmadinejad. I would expect the leader of the ‘Freeworld’ to be the one making the request.  I just hope George W. accepts this request and the debate goes ahead. It’s very important for all the world to understand the differing viewpoints without censorship.  The article mentions :

“The debate should go uncensored in order for the American people to be able to listen to what we say and they should not restrict the American people from hearing the truth.”

The people of Iran should also be able to listen uncensored.

Go Ahmadinejad! He would totally smoke Bush and make him look like an idiot. That is probably why unfortunatley this will never take place.

I would hope the American President would be able to hold his own. But with Bush being the American President at this time – that’s questionable. Maybe they could send Bill Clinton to debate – at least it would be fair on both sides.

Whoever wins the debate between George W. and Ahmadinejad should get crowned Master Debater of the world. Then they should face Saddam Hussein for the Championship.

Did you see Ahmadinejad (am i the only one copying and pasting this guys name?) quote?

“No one can deprive a nation of its rights based on its capabilities”.

Bush should stick that one on his forhead. Iran is Capable of sending nuclear weapons but don’t necessarily have them yet…

Don’t worry man, we all post his name I think (at least when it’s spelled right!). I would assume the people of Iran or the people of that area would be able to spell it correctly. Oh ya – we aren’t supposed to assume
